HST

The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) was deployed in to space in 1990 by the crew of STS-31. Since that time HST has been responsible for some of the greatest discoveries in history. Five times, Space Shuttle crews have returned to HST to upgrade the observatory to make it even better. For more information on HST go to http://hubblesite.org/. For access to the numerous images downlinked from HST go to http://www.stsci.edu/hst/
