Joe V. Travez
Co-founder and CEO
"For me, the greatest achievement has been with the company’s core purpose and values. We have made them the heart of our business."
Joe V. Travez co-founded PPI with his brother Italo D. Travez in 1991. He formally joined the company in 1998 after a 14-year career concluded as a Senior Director for International Projects at Marriott International Corporate Headquarters. While at Marriott, Mr. Travez managed the feasibility, design, construction and turnover process for 80 completed hotels worldwide in addition to the completion of over 300 technical feasibility studies in five continents while creating project management systems to facilitate aggressive product development.
Born in Quito, Ecuador, Mr. Travez attended and graduated from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business in 2006 with an Executive Master's in Leadership, and The Catholic University of America, on a full athletic scholarship, in 1983 with a Bachelors of Science in Architecture. Mr. Travez serves on as a U.S. Department of Commerce Industry Advisor in addition to being a member of the Defense Forum Foundation. Locally, Mr. Travez is on the Loudon County Science and Technology Cabinet as well as the Loudon County CEO Cabinet.
"Creating new technology must be augmented with a vehicle that brings benefit for social and economic development."
Under Mr. Travez’ leadership, PPI has developed into an innovative company rooted in solid core values. His emphasis on the importance of building an effective and creative community has created the perfect infrastructure to build and cross-pollinate tangible innovation for various industries.
From his desire to see PPI as an industry and community leader, to his passion for anything from architecture to soccer, Joe Travez brings careful organization, healthy ambition and idealistic enthusiasm to PPI. |
