Robert L. Thibodeau
Director of Product Development
Robert Thibodeau has been involved in product design and development in the aerospace, automotive safety device and building products industries for over 30 years. He has managed engineering and production organizations throughout his professional life and has mastery with Lean Manufacturing and Design as well as the Toyota Production System. His recent experience includes transforming the product lines and production processes at Trex, Inc. where over 20 products were created and commercialized with annual incremental sales of over $80mm. His automotive experience includes participation on the product launch team for automotive air bag inflators with innovations in low toxicity, safe gas generants. Rounding out Mr. Thibodeau’s experience is his early history in aerospace as a rocket design engineer and manager where he experienced a wide variety of rocket applications including Stinger, Tomahawk Booster, Peacekeeper Shroud Removal and the Challenger Failure Investigation.
Mr. Thibodeau was educated at Virginia Tech where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and at the University of Maryland Smith School where he received his Masters of Business Administration. He holds several United States patents for work he performed in all industries.
