Instrumented X-Ray C-Arm
Our client has developed advanced software for simulating fluoroscopy images within their endovascular medical simulator. A full-scale, realistic x-ray system was required to provide the user with a realistic experience, and PPI designed and manufactures the hardware platform, which could be installed within a mobile C-Arm system provided by a Medical OEM. The hardware platform measures position and angle of the fluoro head and image intensifier, providing input to software, which constructs the simulated image.
Challenges included preservation of realistic look and feel of the C-Arm and application of sensing technologies.
