Overview
With an in-house team of technology transfer support staff, researchers and engineers, PPI is actively participating in the creation of new products and technologies for government, university, and commercial laboratories. In addition, PPI actively develops in-house intellectual property while continuing patent applications. These intellectual properties will become the tangible innovations brought to market through our methods of design, production and commercialization.
Since 1998, PPI has supported over a dozen clients during their feasibility and prototyping work. In that time, PPI’s focus on technology development and end-use application has brought scores of new products and processes to market.
These deep roots have allowed PPI to move into a more active position in the field of research and development. Since 2005, PPI has taken a lead role in research projects, with an emphasis on the Department of Defense’s Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program.
The future will see still more diversity in the innovations PPI researchers will accomplish. Through continued participation in programs like SBIR and expanding offerings in pure research and design, new products will be brought to market in everything from biotechnology to aerospace engineering. Expanding technologies means expanding industry and this expansion will create a future of economic and social opportunities we can only begin to imagine.
